During the CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2017, Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas introduced the new tandem-drum road roller, HR26T-9, expanding its compaction-roller product line.
This new roller model is designed for asphalt maintenance and paving, unlike the single-drum models that are built for compacting soil and aggregates. But like all compactors from Hyundai, it offers excellent 360-degree visibility for the operator.
Introducing the model, product specialist at Hyundai Construction Equipment Americas, Juston Thompson, said:
“The Hyundai compaction roller product line combines the most up-to-date compaction technologies with quiet, fuel-efficient engines, a safe and convenient operator environment and easily accessible maintenance points for outstanding overall performance and value. This product lineup gives solid options to users across the compaction market’s highest-volume segments.”
Specifically, the new Hyundai HR26T-9 has an operating weight of 2,900 kilograms. It has a drum width of 1,200 millimeters and a working width of 1,250 millimeters. It runs on a Tier 4 Interim-Compliant Deutz D 2011 L2i diesel engine, which is rated at 31 horsepower.
The HR26T-9 adds to two of the company’s previously available models and four of its single-drum rollers, which now run on Tier 4 Final-Compliant engines.
